MicroDancers
MicroDancers (マイクロダンサーズ, maikruodansaazu) were a MicroPets spin-off released 7 May, 2004. The special guest promoting the launch at Toys "R" Us was Paula Abdul.
There seems to have only been one series, consisting of six Dancers. Unlike the MicroPets and MicroBabies, the MicroDancers packaging was not an oval but a half circle. They had three modes, and their programming was based around tapping rather than vocal commands, which would later be used for the MicroPets-i. The MicroDancers theme song was once available for download, but was not archived from the UK official site. Presumably this must be a different theme to the one that plays on the US header, since the Dancers' names are different. All US MicroDancers have item number #4251, whereas they have individual numbers on UK packaging. The US website had a flash game, but unfortunately this was not archived. The Dancer bios below are from Micro-Dancers.co.uk.
Only Maria's US bio was archived: Maria loves heavy metal! At rock concerts, she loves to hang out with the band backstage. She brings a jamming beat to the MicroDancers team when they use her "Rock Star" moves in their routine! Icon: Heart Favorite Music: Heavy Metal Favorite Dance: Moshing Likes: Loud music, teaching electric guitar lessons, long hair, rock concerts Dislikes: Being without her guitar Favorite Saying: "Rock on!" |
