MicroPlaces
MicroPlaces were a MicroPets spin-off released in 2004. There were three sets:
Through voice commands, the Pet would travel via magnets to different areas of the play set, such as moving to water to "drink" or to play with their micro pal. It is unknown if they were released in Japan or the USA. MicroPlaces could be considered a sequel series to the MicroPets, as Chumsley was previously an alley cat, but now has a home. However, the interior closely resembles Coco's house, so it could be the that Coco was originally planned to be in the set, or that Chumsley was adopted by Coco's owners. All three Pets are made from painted clear plastic, with the upper face section unpainted as a light piping feature. This was used when the Pet would interact with the micro pal on the left side of the base, a red light flashing up through to the eye area in response to the movement of the friend, along with a sound effect .
