Coco, Chumsley and Bob
At Tokyo Toy Fair 2002, Chumsley and Coco were displayed alongside Moshi, Yuk, Sumo, Kuda and Kuma. Bob and Siren were not present, or are simply offscreen for the promotional video.
Notably, Chumsley has red eyes and Coco has green eyes, while the opposite is true in the retail release. Different versions with the regular eye colors appear later in the video, unless that is just a lighting difference. However, bootlegs of Coco that have green eyes have been spotted. At the end of the video, the stock art showcase of all ten Pets shows Bob with a pink tail and head button, while the final version has a yellow tail. This picture was also used in the Thai instruction booklet. |

Chocobanana and Vanilla Tiger
The MicroPet Zodiac Vanilla Tiger (マイクロペット 干支 バニラ タイガー) and Chocobanana Tiger (チョコバナナタイガー) were prototypes shown at the Tokyo Toy Fair in 2009.
They were a pair of tigers, one white and one orange, both with red collars. The display box for the orange tiger also calls it the Yellow Tiger (イエロータイガー). These would have been the first tiger-based Japanese MicroPets, as Cha Cha is simply a female ginger cat, and Tug was not released in Japan. They were scheduled for a December 2009 release to coincide with 2010 which was the year of the tiger. However, as they have never been seen online again, they appear to have not been produced. |
The Pink Panda
A pink and white bear MicroPet-i was seen beside Millecrêpe at the MicroPets-i DX section of the booth. Millecrepe itself has not been seen as part of the released MicroPets DX sets, but Lemonpop has. It can be assumed that this unnamed panda was replaced by the yellow bear Yogurt in the DX playset.
