Series 1 · Coco · Moshi · Kuma · Bob · Yuk · Kuda · Sumo · Bongo · Chumsley · Siren
Song: Original Song / Star Spangled Banner (US only)
Series 1 was released June 2002 in America, and August in Europe and Australia. More MicroPets in Series one have green eyes than red. The set consists of two dogs, two cats, two bears, two monsters, and two bush monsters. Series 1 MicroPets sing a seemingly original song (it was featured in the Tokyo Toy Show 2002 Promo video), while American MicroPets sing Star Spangled Banner. Series 1's boxes are blue. They were also released in Thailand under the name ไมโครเพ็ทส์. All the packaging is in English, with a Thai booklet inside. Their Korean name is 마이크로 펫. |
Series 2 · Chop · Gork · Juma · Nip · Oak · Ralphy · Sky · Snot · Tank · Tuck · Tug
Song: Original Song (EU) / Ten Little Indians (US)
Series 2 was released in early 2003. It has eleven Pets in the range, though Oak and Snot were missing from the UK site promo video. Gork is the only Series 2 Pet to have green eyes. Tuck and Nip are the first Global MicroPets to not have light up eyes, having light up cheeks instead. Series 2's boxes are orange in America and blue in other regions. Only five MicroPets in Series 2 were released in Europe - Chop, Gork, Sky, Tuck and Ralphy. |
Series 3 · Rio · Nash · Nacho · Pesto · Dux · Banjo · Max · Swirl · Mug · Oz
Song: Original Song (EU) / Ten Little Indians (US)
Series 3 was released in mid 2003, consisting of ten MicroPets: three dogs, three cats (counting Nash the lion as a cat), two mice, one bear and one horse. Rio and Dux are the only MicroPets in Series 3 to have green eyes. Series 3's boxes are purple in America, and blue in other regions. Dux and Max do not appear on the back of European boxes, so are not part of Series 3 there. It is unknown what song(s) these MicroPets sing in America. |
Series 4 · Sol · Quid · Finn · Guss · Mint · Kas · Nut · Shew · Mika · Typo
Song: Ten Little Indians
Series 4 is the final series of MicroPets, though it is unknown when they were released, as the official site was never updated to include them. However, the molds are marked with 2003. They were mentioned in a November 2004 Washington Post article, so could be from as late as then. There are ten in the set, with most of them having Japanese style light up heads, two having light up cheeks, and two having red light up eyes. This is the first series to have no green-eyed MicroPets, which would be continued in 2004's MicroPets Pals. Series 4's box boasts a "Pet me" feature, but it is not a new or real feature. Three of the Series 4 MicroPets have the same designs as Japanese MicroPets, Typo/Cha Cha, Kas/Siam and Finn/Ten. Series 4 boxes are green in America, and have yet to be seen in other regions. They may have been replaced in other regions by the four Micro Puppies. Series 4 has generic artworks compared to previous series, simply being recolors of each other, like all the dogs having the same doghouse background with just the colors and name edited. |
Limited Edition · Bunny Twins · Easter Bunnies · Jack · Jingle · Robo-D · Hello Kitty
Six seasonal MicroPets were produced during 2003 or 2004. These were two pairs of white and pink rabbits for Easter, Jack the black cat for Halloween, and Jingle the dog for Christmas. None of these have light up eyes. Jack and Jingle have the Japanese MicroPets style light up heads, and the bunnies all have light up cheeks. It is unknown what songs they sing. The bunnies have pink boxes, Jack has an orange box (but a different shade to Series 2), and Jack has a white box.
There were also the Disney MicroPets ROBO-D released towards the end of 2003, though only three of the five were released outside Japan. Later, in 2004, six Pets based on Hello Kitty were released for the brand's 30th anniversary.
